.NET Developer – Graduate/Entry Level

As the next addition to our friendly and supportive team, you will use your development skillsets to implement, fix and enhance, primarily web-based, solutions for our wide client base.

It’s a fast-paced environment, equipped with supportive mentoring you will utilise your analytical and curious mind to match real-world business problems with creative technical solutions.

Your passion for constant learning will allow you to switch from solving puzzles for clients in the tertiary sector, to those in agriculture, and enterprises to scrappy startups. You’ll work on a wide range of systems from websites to eCommerce to web applications, to the odd native mobile application as well.

Our supportive team and dedicated mentor are also there to help answer any and all questions that you may have along the way. Coupled with your self-driven hunger to learn you’ll be making a tangible difference to our clients and their customers.

We value flexibility and promote a healthy work-life balance as a hybrid and flexible workplace. This role will work in the Hamilton office at least three days a week with flexibility in working hours.

What you'll be doing

  • Software development, primarily in the Microsoft .NET ecosystem. (e.g. C#, .NET, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Azure, Azure DevOps etc.)
  • Working directly with clients to understand their business requirements.
  • Collaborating with the team on analysing client solutions and design requirements.
  • Contributing to quoting and estimating requirements for development.
  • Documenting technical solutions.
  • Staying fresh on industry trends and how they can be applied.
  • Highlighting risks and challenges and collaborating on solutions.
  • Have fun along the way!

Ideally, you will have

  • Be a lifelong learner.

  • Good analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities.
  • A strong understanding of how the web works.
  • Effective English, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts in a client-centric way.
  • Enjoy a challenge, be adaptable in a dynamic environment and be able to exercise good judgement and make clear, informed decisions.
  • Have a strong focus on tasks and the ability to prioritise and manage interruptions.
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field. (e.g. Computer Science) is preferred by not strictly required.
  • Previous experience delivering a software development project involving a client.
  • Technical understanding of systems, software and coding language(s), particularly in the .NET ecosystem.
